Property consultant Philip Sjem helps Norwegians fulfill their dream of a holiday home on the Costa Blanca in eastern Spain.

Financing of a holiday home with legal assistance

He was recently on a viewing trip with a Norwegian woman who had long dreamed of a home in Spain. After the first day, the customer was between two homes.

- On day 2, she was asked a number of questions, and we investigated more about the homes. On day 3, we were left with one option, and then it was about getting some final clarifications made and making an offer to the seller, says Philip.

There was agreement. The holiday home buyer then meets with a lawyer and signs a reservation contract.

- We have a Swedish-speaking lawyer who takes care of the paperwork and ensures that the property purchase is completed, says Philip.

- We have everything from simple farmhouses to penthouses with a view of the sea, says Philip.

He points out that the dream of a holiday home in the South is by no means reserved for the few.

- 80 percent of our customers are the ordinary man in the street who buys an apartment or small detached house for 170,000-250,000 euros.

The Norwegian himself moved to the Spanish Mediterranean coast 3 years ago.

- I live in a large and old house in the mountains, approximately 40 minutes from both Alicante and Torrevieja. The beauty of the Costa Blanca is that there are many different areas and homes to choose from. You can live in the countryside, by the beach or in a bigger city, concludes Philip Sjem.
