Description

Mil Palmeras

Mil Palmeras, which means "a thousand palms", is a district of the municipality of Pilar de la Horadada that is located in Orihuela Costa, the province of Alicante, Costa Blanca, in the Valencian Community, Spain. It was very popular with Scandinavians in the '80s, but now it has begun to be a good mix of nationalities. In summer, this little village is full speed, while in the winter months, it is a little quieter.

It is located in the region of Vega Baja, on the border with the Region of Murcia, being the southernmost municipality in the province of Alicante. This population was born as private urbanization around one of the most beautiful beaches of the Costa Blanca, but the urban development promoted by tourism ended up giving it its own identity framed next to the natural mouth of the Río Seco, a river that runs about 16 km crossing the entire municipality of Pilar de la Horadada.

It is the ideal place and offers a variety of sports activities for all ages - from water sports - swimming, paddle surfing, surfing, kayaking, snorkeling... but also tennis, beach volleyball, running, hiking, cycling, and as already mentioned golf.
