A little bit about this amazing location - La Mata is a charming town with about 9.000 inhabitants on the outskirts of the town of Torrevieja, 40 km south along the Mediterranean from Alicante airport.

La Mata beach is Torrevieja’s longest and most popular beach with its approximately 2.5 kilometers. It has been awarded the European Blue Flag for several years in a row. (Highest award for quality). The large population of Northern Europeans, but also a very popular resort for people from major Spanish inland towns such as Madrid and Barcelona.

La Mata offers a large number of good restaurants, cafes, and bars. A large majority of these are open all year round. Due to local regulation plans and large surrounding natural areas that limit high-raised buildings on large parts of La Mata, many believe that it will retain its status as a gem along the Mediterranean. In La Mata, you will find all necessary services such as shops, banks, doctors’ offices, pharmacies, post offices, etc.

Fantastic hiking areas in the immediate vicinity with the Parque Natural de La Mata and the Laguna Salada, which is a large protected park and lake with fantastic birdlife.

The private hospital Quiron is only 2.5 km away.
